Max Sturko resigns with Hinton

by Scott Ludwig

Max Sturko is returning to Hinton. The Timberwolves are thrilled to welcome back Sturko, who first came to Hinton in January of last season, playing in 21 games. The 6'0 forward scored five goals along with 18 assists.

"We are excited to have Max here from the start," said head coach Jeff Richards. "By the end of last season he was a regular contributor to the offense. As a veteran of both the CJHL and WSHL we expect he will step up this year."

Originally hailing from Spruce Grove, Sturko played two years in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Edmonton. He then played one season with the Minnesota Iron Rangers (SIJHL) in the 2017-18 season posting 20 points in 37 games.

The Timberwolves are preparing for their first season in the Western States Hockey League. Open tryouts are scheduled for August 30-September 1.
