by Scott Ludwig

Hinton Timberwolves are thrilled to welcome our newest signee - forward Brendan Auger. A veteran of the Western States Hockey League, Auger led the Hinton Wildcats in scoring last season with 32 goals and 40 assists. His 72 points in 40 games played was third highest in the WSHL among Canadian-born players.

He scored his first of three hat tricks last season on October 27 on his way to helping Hinton to a second place finish in the WSHL Provincial Division. Auger added three goals, three assists in five playoff games.

Auger is a native of Jasper, Alberta having played youth hockey with the Bearcats. At just 18-years old has a bright future in hockey.

"We are thrilled to have Brendan return to Hinton for another season," said head coach Jeff Richards. "We expect he will be a leader of our team."

The Timberwolves are preparing for their first season in the Western States Hockey League. Open tryouts are scheduled for August 23-25.
